This study investigates the relationship between constipation and quality of life of people with multiple sclerosis (MS). It looks at real-life issues faced by people who have the condition regarding the impact of constipation on their identity, self-esteem and confidence. It addresses the issues of inconsistent advice and the reluctance of patients and clinicians to talk about the problems leading to patient self-management with some disastrous consequences.
